Does anyone know if Schaller metal speed knobs fit MIC Epis? I'm trying to find chrome speed knobs for my Casino Coupe - not silver/chrome-colored plastic, the actual metal knobs.

I saw them listed on the Schaller website. Go to the link and select the "Versions" tab, Item 15030200: smooth finish, chrome speed knobs. The description states "6 mm thread." I'm not sure if that's the diameter (if it is, they should fit).

They're pricey (E13.50 for 2 knobs) and shipping to the US is E30, but none of the Schaller distributors in the US have them.

    Thanks.

    This is their only photo.

Yeah, the set screw ones oughta work fine.

There's only one thing you really have to know about set screw knobs on split shafts.
Align the set screw with the gap on the pot shaft or you'll gooch your pot by crushing the split together.

Thanks for the tip. Should I ask how you know this? Did "a friend" make that mistake? ;) I have "a friend" who crammed the shaft into the pot when putting on knobs. Luckily I had extra pots so I.... ummmm... gave one to my friend.

No, actually I did my homework first and came across it online somewhere long before Killer Frost came on the scene.

No, as far as that goes, I err...my friend pulled the shaft straight out of a pot because he received "universal" knobs instead of "inch spec" and decided he'd prefer a set screw model instead. Suffice to say, the others were carefully Dremel'd off with fine skill and dexterity.

Those are sweet! If they had a notched version I'd be all over that!

Well, I swallowed the shipping costs and ordered the knobs and matching switch tip. Given that I once upgraded an $90 guitar with $200 in parts, this isn't so bad.
