I guess since I’ve been hanging about with the senior crowd here, Facebook has noticed and now I get guitar ads in my feed. Most recently Eastwood, and those are some of the weirdest guitars! Does anyone know if they’re any good? They certainly aren’t giving them away.

One of the few not awful shapes, I agree.

Nothing weird about them, old Mosrite and other designs from the 60's.

Jack White toured with the original version of this with the White Stripes.

I haven't played them, but a friend whose opinion I trust has, and says they're pretty darn good.

As Raiyn says, they pay tribute to most of the classic non-G/F/G/G designs of the '60s - except, according to my bud, in most cases done better than the originals. (Which is not to say that Mosrites weren't top-quality guitars; they were. But the Supros, Nationals, etc.? Not always so much.)

Yeah, instead of Res-o-Glas, (fiberglass halves joined / covered with a rubber seam) you're getting chambered "mahogany".

The tone is in the plastic though.

Down to the single coil pickup hiding in the humbucker cover apparently.

Set loose, I could do some wild ish with one of those, but the buy-in is a bit out of range for something I'd need to modify to the extent that's percolating in my braincase. Unconventional axe like that screams for me to go full on Frankenstein on it. I'd love to check out one of those Backlund 400's too.
