I just purchased a used 339 P-90 Pro from the Guitar Center in Houston. It is in almost new condition but with one oddity. The lower tone / volume set is for the neck pickup and the upper set is for the bridge pickup. The selector switch works the same way: down is for neck and up is for bridge pickup. Is this wired correctly? I have always seen things the opposite.

Wiring was probably replaced and once done, owner was too frustrated to redo it right. Not an easy job to go play in there.

Still, can we see it ?

I would change it back because it will drive me crazy, but it's frustrating work. A good tech should be able to do it under an hour, unless the wiring needs work.

Maybe seller was left handed and played it inverted ?

I'm going to leave it alone for now.
