I have a newby question. I want a LP and I’m just trying to learn about them. I’ve already decided that I’m not gonna be happy with one that doesn’t have binding. The versions without it just don’t look right. It’s like they’re naked, or something.
Sooo....here’s my question. What is the most moderately priced Epi LP that’s got binding?

The Standard, I believe, is the lowest priced model with binding.
You could get the Studio and a white marker for less money. :)

In my search for a nice Epi Standard I've noticed something. Some Standards come with pickguards, and some don't. Are there different grades of the Standards? Is this just a year model kinda thing?

I think, some were taken off, some left on. I'm in the first camp, I hate LP pickguards.

If the guitar has a burnt toast finish, cover it up as much as possible. If not, take off the pg and throw it away. :D
