    Met Gael in town for lunch which we had at the Main Hotel.

    I had Panko Prawns, yummy beer batter chips and salad a nice salad. $12.50

    Hard to beat that!

    I didn't know that! I always associated Zucchini's with north America!

    It's amazing just how many courgettes come from just one plant.

    We had a few tins of chick peas in the cupboard so I made some chick pea & mash potato fritters with a few spices, a clove of garlic & paprika last night. They turned out very nice, I took a pic in a rush but it was blurry and I couldn't use it :rolleyes:

    Well, with a little roux added to thicken the sauce, this was super tasty, & there was half a six legged lamb of leftovers for Rosie’s parents tomorrow.

    Seven hours later, from the retro XL slow cooker that the In-Laws gifted me this week, we ladled some of this chunky liquid life into bowls for both them & us... Yep, tasty indeed :thumb:

    Home on my own I felt free to indulge myself.

    Horrified to find my usual stock of frozen green prawns hadn’t been replenished I found several reasons to head into town this morning. and whilst I was there just happened to drop by Aldi and pick up a packet.

    I never buy seafood that is from outside this country but these Malaysian prawns have proven to be a winner, and so handy of you just need a couple for fried rice or something. So I wandered into Aldi and pick up a packet of said chilly crustaceans.

    Recently I picked up a couple of tubs (1 for Roz) of volcanic sate sauce from a Malaysian/Chinese restaurant in town. Very handy to have on the fridge also! Bloody beautiful if the truth is known.

    I little butter in the pan quickly sauté the prawns for few seconds then add a large spoon of sate paste and some cream to tame the dragons breath and then turn out over the other pillar of this trio, some left over fried rice that my darling is known for OMG!

    This is it underway.

    It doesn’t get much better than that!
