    New member saying hello.
I'm a guitarist who has been playing casually since the mid-80's, with a couple of bands in the early years.
I got my first epi, a Les Paul Tribute Plus in Midnight Sapphire, a couple of years ago. I bought it cause I'd always wanted a Les Paul, but unless I'm performing there's no way I could justify a similarly equipped Gibson. In any case, the thing arrived and I was absolutely floored by everything about it. Nearly perfect intonation, my original Kramer Ripley isn't even in the same universe of playability of this Les Paul. Anyway, I'm hooked, and looking at buying an SG.
Since I've found myself coming over here to get epi questions answered for quite a while now, I figured maybe it's time to actually create an account and contribute to the community.

Welcome to Epi-Talk. I also have a Tribute+ in Midnight Sapphire. I got it back when this color was discounted to $600.

I know what it looks like, but for the benefit of others you should post pics of that gorgeous guitar.

Edit: Oh, there's the picture. I didn't notice it before because it's too artsy. :)

Welcome ZenOfBeer. Indeed, you got one of the best Epi LPs out there. Very formal portrait of that Midnight Sapphire, I like that. Where are you from ?

If you have more gear to show us, don't be shy, we love gear porn.

I had exactly the same. Unfortunatly, the slim D neck didn't agree with me.Since I was lucky enough to get it for 1/3 of what Davis paid for his, I made a good profit on it.

I'm in the Seattle area. Unfortunately, I'm a little short on the gear. Several years ago I moved from Salt Lake City area to Seattle, and I just couldn't justify bringing along big amps that I didn't play, so most of that stuff got sold off. Still have all the guitars, though. I'll post that collection!

Welcome ZenOfBeer. That is a sweet LP! I predict Epiphone will overtake Gibson as the representative brand of the company very soon so your hanging with the right crew! EPIPHONE!

    Beautiful.

My Midnight Sapphire didn't much look like yours.

    Thanks,
In real life it is very similar to yours. Same clarity of the grain and similar shade under natural light. It isn't as dark as it look in the inside photos, but I've noticed that the shade of the blue seems to come out quite differently in different light.
Now all they gotta do is put that finish on an SG :)

    Thanks!
You may be onto something there. This is my first Epiphone and Les Paul, and everything about this guitar still blows my mind even after owning it for 2 years.
