    ...and it's Pete's favorite color.

2001 Saein LP Standard. Someone de-glossed the neck and back. The pickup covers have been de-shined also. It was at my local brick and mortar for $250. I traded it for my GK bass cabinet straight up. Honestly, I didn't even plug it in to test the electronics, but that's fine. If there are any issues, I can take care of that myself. It plays good and that's all I really care about. Pickup covers are coming off, DiMarzios going in...eventually. I'm just going to play it for now.

Good looking guitar. Are the three treble saddles flipped?

Yeah, its a SlimTaper. Slightly thicker than my G-310 and S-310. Thinner than the SG Junior. The Junior is pretty chunky. I hadnt really noticed all the ones and zeros in the serial earlier. So funky!

3 forward, 3 backward. That's normal. I second guessed for a minute. Had to look at my other guitars. lol.

I have to admit, I'm really digging the Les Paul. I've never been much of a fan, but wow! It feels so....substantial and sounds beefy. The Epiphone pickups sound really good through my Fender Princeton amp too. I'm wondering if I even want to swap them now. But at the same time, I cant just let a good DiMarzio sit around. I'm so conflicted right now!

It does have some neck repair, however, which was why it was so cheap. It looks like the neck got a good whack or the guitar fell over and split the fretboard from the neck at the nut. The repair job is good though. Action is low and no buzzing. It may or may not play nice with 9s, but to be honest, the 10s feel really good on it.

I say keep playing it and when you get to the point of switching pups, get your screwdriver out and play with the height.
These are the best deals out there. I paid $100 for my Vintage G400, partly because of the same reason.

There is a really nice Agile up there that I liked too. I'm kind of thinking that I should check it out a little closer and maybe return the Epi and swap it with the agile. I'd have to pony up an extra bill, but it may be worth it. I'm on the fence. But I also feel like I kind of bonded with the epi already. It just felt that natural, I guess.

So it's been almost a week with the LP, and I've got to say, I absolutely ADORE this guitar. The action is probably lower than it should be for a typical Epiphone LP...and I like that. Also, this thing is so loud unamplified, it's ridiculous. So very resonate as well. I can't put it down. I think about it all day. I'm seriously obsessed. I also wet sanded and polished the back and neck. It looked like someone scuffed it with coarse steel wool. Total hack job. Oh, and i also took out the HOTCH and replaced it with my GFS VEH. Not a huge difference, but it is brighter and more open. Now my fingers hurt and i keep playing anyway. It's just that good.

One more thing....that Agile I was looking at isn't an agile at all. It took me awhile to figure out what it is, but it's a Rick Allen guitar. Now I'm thinking about picking it up too. If you've ever heard of Rick Allen (Not the guy from Def Leppard) and know where I grew up (probably not) you'd know why this guitar is a bit attractive to me.
