Snow's great, as long as someone else is shoveling it.

Isn't that the truth. I don't miss it but we certainly need it, the lakes and rivers are goin to dry up this summer..

Cold here yesterday and last night I had to put on a top!! Unheard of this time of year! Tasmania even had snow down south! It rained on and off all day.

I worked on my boat in the shed all day. I needed to redistribute weight somewhat so was shifting deep cycle batteries around but was unable to feed power cabling through the hull and am reluctant to rip the floor up as yet so I’ll buy some flexible plastic ducting tomorrow and run it along the edge of the deck. Then fill screw holes in the casting deck, paint the deck and voila, I’m ready to fish!

Today is mostly dry but down to 21 C.

Well, since you asked, today in the Pacific Northwest we took a much needed break from a 40 and rain weather to Sunny and 64*f (that is 18*c).
It was such a great surprise we pulled our bikes out and went on a 250 mile ride to the Oregon coast.
Here we are at the lunch stop, The Oar house (Those thing that power a row boat)
And here we are at the lighthouse on the coast....

And a look over the cliff to the sea.....

Awesome pictures Jeff. We went to the coast last summer for vacation and loved it. We stayed at Rockaway Beach for a week and it was absolutely breath taking for sure. It was 40 years ago when I seen the ocean. The drive up and down Route 101 was a beautiful drive. I cant wait to go back.

    Been cold here!

Low 20’s for days, rain or showers and if I try to BBQ at night I come in shivering!

    Bloody unheard of!

    Give our weather back willya!

Am I reading you right? You hadn’t seen the ocean in 40 years? I simply won’t go inland for any time and most of my life have lived no more that half an hour from the coast.

I couldn’t stand being a long way from it for long periods.

22 C today with a minimum of 14 C and I’ve been cold! Been wearing a thick jacket inside of an evening because I refuse to turn heating on in the middle of summer! Bloody ridiculous!

Fortunately it’s warming up for the weekend and supposed to be 39 C on Saturday. Could be a good night for a lamb roast in the wood oven?? Maybe smoke some hard boiled eggs for an appetiser?

Yes sir you indeed read it right. I live 8 hours from the coast and I know that isn't a good excuse but the fact is I never had the opportunity to make the trip. I raised two kids on my own with out any financial support ever since they were babies and in diapers. So financially I wasn't able to make trips like that. Now that they are all grown up and produced beautiful grand babies I am able to venture out away from home often..........

So apparently Idaho isn't going to get any snow this year. Even the Ski resorts are shut down during the week and only opening on weekends. It is 45F out right now, 48F tomorrow and 55F Thursday.

Oh well as long as you are able to enjoy it occasionally nowadays it might make up for your sacrifices earlier.

Speaking of sacrifices, job well done with bringing up those kids on your own.
