I thought about the axle refit, but you don't lead with the most expensive option when you're not intimate with the situation.

Sounds like a cracking piece of kit Digger, My mate across the back has a small electric/hydraulic thing which makes short work of splitting small logs for his wood burner.

T-shirt weather here today, 13C with a bit of sunshine thrown in. I had to go for some petrol for the lawn mower as the grass is really starting to shoot up. so I washed the car whilst it's nice weather.
They reckon there's a south warm front coming up from the bay of Biscay bringing heatwave temps of 20C on Wednesday/Thursday :wow:

    20C? That’s a bloody heatwave for there I’d imagine?

Better find your sunlounge and some factor 30!

    Crikey, winter approacheth!

Just a top of 18 C today and we “almost” put a heater on last night!

I might clean the ash out of the wood heater today and set it ready for lighting?

Winter temperatures here often reach 16 or 17 degrees, so days like this herald an imminent cooling down.

LOL 20C that's what they call a heatwave on the local TV news here. :D they reckon it could top 21C on Wednesday or Thursday. I'll need to find some sunglasses before my retinas catch fire in those blistering temps. :thumb:

We've in double digits today with a high of 12C and raining.

I've mentioned before how much I miss proper winters. Especially after returning to MN a couple years ago for a visit.

21C expected here which is good for working, but the overnight minimums are creeping down slowly here. Expected to be just 6C overnight so we are firmly considering a movement back to long PJ’s and need dressing gowns early morning.

I bought a rain coat yesterday! Haven’t had one since I was about 8! I wear Dry az a bones around the property.

This is for our trip to the UK where according to people like Lancepudn, it’s bound to precipitate on me from a great height! (publicly)

It wasn’t cheap but will be very effective and is bright red! At least Gael will be able to find me if I wander off in a geriatric haze....as I often do~

Hmm. I have to question the wisdom of buying the raincoat in Oz.

    Bear with me.

When we went up north, we ran around down here trying to find proper boots to no avail. Even Amazon was dicey due to variances in sizes, so we decided to blitz the Mall of America when we got up there as it was fairly close to the airport. Good thing we did too! Pretty much everyone was having an "end of season" sale of some form or another. We got the boots for about half price by buying them where they were abundant.

Yes I agree that, that could be a factor but it’s one other thing off my list to do and I can forget about it until we pack.

Shoe sizes are a pain in the bum here too!

I’m 7 1/2 and 7 is too small, 8 too big. Bloody Chinese sizes!!

I'm fortunate that for a tall guy I've got fairly average sized feet. I never have an issue finding a 10.5 Adidas Superstar just about anywhere.

It’s not having half sizes anymore that I find hard.

So it’s expected to reach 26C here today but we are heading for our holiday spot again and it’s cooler there @ 19C.

Up at 0530 and having a quick cuppa before starting to pack the car and get ready to head to Mallacoota for a few days again.

Trying to squeeze the last bit out of the season before winter hits us.

Not sure how many days we’ll stay this time but I can always hope for the best, can’t I?

Hoping to leave before 8 am as that gives us plenty of time to take Bella for a run on those gorgeous beaches again.

First warm day of the year here, sunshine and shirtsleeves. Feels like it's been a long time coming, this year.
