Jeeze John that's terrible especially so if you're on oxygen. the air quality looks bad in that picture, we had some moorland fires near us a few months ago and the smokey haze was acrid, you could taste it at the back of your throat, horrible.

Today is another hot day (for here) 25C / 77F It's cloudy and real muggy. I did a bit of gardening & came in, too hot & sweaty for this old git :thumb:

1:45pm & on my third shower of the day again. Roll on Autumn.

I keep telling you guys, t-shirts made from a wicking material such as Coolmax (Dri-Fit, etc) are a MUST in hot weather.

    Although, 77°F is too hot?

    Ice to meet you....

Part of the reason my concert t-shirts last so long is due to the fact I can only wear them for around a third of a year before they get rotated back in favor of my wicking shirts. I bought a Nita Strauss shirt at the Alice Cooper show back in March and got to wear it twice before the heat kicked in.

I'm staying indoors myself. Camping areas are all on fire and the smoke knocks my you know what in the dirt. No other reason to go out.

30C down in the West today and bloody humid!
If we’d wanted the tropics we’d have gone to Darwin and saved a fortune!

    Careful, you’ll make me homesick!

We sweltered in bed last night! Aussies can handle the heat alright but fair suck of the sav, how about A/C that works?

Ian this place ( Cornwall) is just as beautiful as I remember it and apart from all the pesky tourists, it doesnt dissappoint!

We are having a memorable trip, the best part being talking to locals. They have all been lovely...even to Aussies~

It's been cooling off a tad here lately especially at night, Even managing to get a good nights sleep as I cant sleep in muggy weather. maybe time to look into one of those new fangled A/C doodahs, I've never seen a A/C unit myself  but if this is going to be the norm I'll have to invest in one as this heatwave is uncomfortable to say the least.

Had a few showers of light rain lately and more rain forecast for the next few days too. 19C & cloudy today, I'll take that. :thumb:

We're most of the way towards getting our HELOC approved, so ours will be upgraded / modernized soon along with a couple other household maintenance items that are beyond my skill level.

It's actually overcast at the moment.
Of course, nothing is bursting into flames right now, unlike some places.

Bushfires are something we are used to unfortunately and we have evacuated 3 times over the yeats expecting to lose the lot. Wind changes have saved us fortunately.

You probably dont need my advice on this but were I to give it, it would be to firstly prepare, have basic needs packed ready to go at a moments notice.

Keep records of hour posessions in that bag, photos of ev erynthing, every cupboars, maybe a back up of your computer records, photos etc. Insure to cover things you cant afford replace.

Last of all, if a fire is coming, leave early, don’t wait and never try to defend your things. Leave them as they can be replaces, you and hour family can’t.

A couple of breaths of that smoke will put you down quick smart!
