Set up in an alley downtown to sell our stuff. Air temp 90°, felt like 100°, and it’s gonna hit 115° heat index over the next couple of days. Yay!

Strangely sleeting slightly in Sydney this somnolent Sunday.

(try saying that sensibly after seven soothing stouts)

Rain rain & more rain here with a high of 17C, looks like another day with my feet up watching a few films, I watched Avengers Endgame & Godzilla yesterday:dude:

I finally sussed out a way to be able to hear what they're saying & follow the dialogue without all the noisy soundtrack! I don't switch the 5.1 surround sound system on :wow:

If I just use the onboard speaker in this old HP XW4600 PC I can listen to everything that's being said :thumb:

I might watch them again with the big sound system now that I know what's going on lol.

Excessive heat warnings for the next few days, with heat indices expected to hit or exceed 114°. That, gentlemen, is really damn hot.

Not quite so torrid here ATM and expecting 13C or 55.4F. Currently 8C.

It’s been a cold last few days and I’ve burned through what would be usually enough wood for a week. However that’s what it’s there for.

Things are on the improve and Wednesday look OK so I’ll plan on mowing then.

Ive mentioned that we have had 4 days of a very cold snap. Yes some places have had light dustings of snow, though not here. Never heard of snow here in fact!

The thing that irks me is that 2 towns away they got 4” of rain and have floods whereas for the 3 days we got 3mm or 1/7th of an inch.

Because of the direction of the weather and the disposition of the ranges behind us, a lot of the rain gets dragged away to both to our south and also our north leaving us in a rain shadow. Getting quite serious now actually.

Seems we underestimated the potential heat index for today, as a market friend just posted a photo of his weather monitor, showing a feels like 118°.

Enough of a break in the humidity to not make mowing the back yard a giant carbuncle on the kiester. Right now it’s 91°, but only feels like 97°. :fingersx:

It was about as nice a day as one could hope for in mid August Memphis, and I’ll probably regret not getting the front yard done, but new workout measures kicked my butt this morning. So I made hummingbird art for an upcoming 3-day hummingbird hullabaloo and clambake.

I don't think I'll be needing the suntan cream or the sunglasses again today! Raining with a high of 17C.
