Another grey day, 15C and raining, I was supposed to be taking my ol dad out in the wheelchair to get some plants/flowers for his garden to the local nursery but it will have to wait for another day.

There's a 10% chance of rain in the next hour...

19 C and some showers possible.

I put out a lot of Roundup yesterday so the rain will set it off nicely, thank you very much.

:wow: Blimey! Raiyn That's scorching hot, tarmac & cars must melt in that furnace heat :D I was on a forum the other day & a guy was asking me about the AC in my old Rover, I said I've no idea I've never used AC in any cars I've ever owned in 43 years of driving

He couldn't believe I'd never used AC, I said one of the few proviso's I have for a car here is No sunroofs, sooner rather than later they're going to leak in and they've got to have a good heater :thumb:

I've never felt the need to use AC in our climate here. It must be like stepping into an oven getting into a car that's been standing outside in that kind of heat.

It's 16C & the dark dank Summer continues here.

We've had them at 46 C here and I have to say, that was bloody hot! I've been known to work outside at 40 +.

I had to keep going up and cooling water for the chooks and hosing their pen down to keep them alive. If their water gets hot, they die.

With such a warm Winter I think this Summer is going to be a doozie! Bushfires too as it's drying out already!

Yeah, July in San Antonio was like that. Not pleasant.
SWMBO had been an exchange student in Australia, so naturally, I had to ask her WTF a "chook" was.

I made sure to mention that it was Aussie slang. "Chook" sounds like something you'd get punched for saying over here.

Chuckle...you can here too depending on how and when you say it.

Honestly all Aussies call Chickens "Chooks". It really is the word we use all the time though it's used in many other ways such as "You silly old Chook!" That's a semi affectionate way to refer to a mature woman if she says something funny. More of a derogatory note is "Ha, he couldn't run a Chook raffle" meaning someone is incompetent.

It's a word I love and find to be quintessentially Australian.

Ugh, first night back after vacation. I'm sorry, but I couldn't care less about the weather today. I'm going to have my "evening" for the next few hours, then pop in some ear plugs and retreat into my cave with it's recently upgraded ceiling fan.

It's gotten to the point where I've had to put specific "No Mow" signs on the doors in two inch high red letters since "No Solicitation" seems to be ¶¥¢<¡π¿ gibberish to the drifting "landscape technicians". All I want to do is chill out for a couple hours and then get some proper sleep.

Been off work with flu, so haven't a clue what's been happening weather wise as I've not been out for several days!

Probably mostly grey though - it's England after all!

It's a cloudy grey day this morning, warm though 18C. I'll finish mowing the lawns later as there's rain forecast to arrive late aftenoon and the rest of the evening.
