Epiphone proudly announces the release of the 37th Joe Bonamassa signature model and we won't stop until there are as many signature models as there are US states and territories (we don't actually know how many territories there are, so we'll just keep making more models). This one is black, an homage to JB's suits.

Has anybody realized the font Epi uses in these ads is the same font used on the newer Starships Enterprise? It’s called Federation even! When they come out with an NCC-1701 model Slash sig, I might have to get one. :-) I’m a graphic designer from way long ago, and recognize fonts. Kinda sucks the fun out of ads, though.

Currently I can't imagine I'll spend 1000€ on any MiC guitar,
regardless what brand or what 'signature' is written on it..

that pricerange is 'MiJ-territory' for me

Took them long enough. There was a thread about this like 6 or 7 months ago.

They should make one in cherry, knock about 2 or 3 hundred bucks off the price and then we'll talk.

It's a beautiful looking guitar for sure and when JB posted pics of the prototype back in january I had serious gas, then I got my 2002 Sheraton with Elitist pickups and a genuine 70's Bigsby B-7 pre-installed for less than 1/4 of the price. As is I'm happy for now, I prefer natural to black on most semi's(glad they didn't release a cherry version or I'd be in deep trouble).

Epi's specs are wrong too = lists Bigsby B7 actually has licensed B700

Only the name is enough to keep me as far away as possible. Asian guitars are getting ridiculously expensive...

I was looking at the Epi site earlier and I think Slash is winning the signature Epiphone guitar battle vs. Joe 7-6. :ohno:

Maybe 8-6 if you count the Snakepit LP from a while back.

Time for a steel cage match between the two. Each have to play their sig Epi's.

    :slash: VS :jb:

To be fair (now that I've mocked it),The Jo Bo 355 a lovely guitar. But the constant rollout of signature models is tiring to watch. But there must be a market for them, right?

I'd consider the low-priced Slash AFD LP with the bolt-on neck before any of the über-pricey ones.

Looks like a Sheraton without F-Hole binding but with Bigsby.

    LMAO......

I guess they had to wait for B.B to pass before they could slap a Bigsby on Lucille and try to make even more royalties for Joe B.

Lucille has no F-holes, a Vari-Tone circuit, TP-6 Tailpiece, access to electronics via back panel, stereo outputs, and gold TRC. Other than that, it's the same. :io:
