Well I know this won't get much positive response, but I picked up this guitar really cheap yesterday and I must say I'm impressed ! I have several other guitars including a Gibson Les Paul Studio, a MIM Fender Strat and an Epiphone Les Paul Special II. All great guitars, but this new guitar is really a great value for the money...ESP LTD EC-10.

The one I got was made in Vietnam 2016. Its every bit as good of a build as my Epi, which I love...the tuners seem to be a little better on the LTD. The pickups on the Epi are maybe a little better.

Either way, new guitar day, and from someone that's been around the block a few times, today's "cheap" guitar certainly isn't in same as the cheap guitars I started with in the late 70's, which by today's standards would be considered pure junk !

Thank God for CNC Machines !

Why would't it have positive response ?
If it's as sweet as you describe, all is fine.
    Enjoy her!

Thanks. I'm really amazed how good some of these budget guitars of today play. No, it won't replace my Les Paul Studio, or even the Mexican Strat, but its nice to have a guitar I can take somewhere and not have to worry about something happening to it.

Also, its nice to have a guitar your not afraid to do mods to, as you can't really hurt the value of it !

Got it for $85.00, still had the protective plastic over the pickups, backplate and truss rod cover.

HNGD! Sounds like you got a great deal. Nothing but positive thoughts about it on this end! :)

HNGD. Never played an ESP, but read a lot of positive reviews. And $85 is light on the wallet and light on the worry.

I don't know about "stupid", perhaps a bit untrusting towards members of a forum "dedicated" to a competing brand?

It's actually pretty laid back around here.

I totally agree with you. This is a very laid back forum, and a bunch of very nice people here. I've only been a member here a few months, but I don't think I've ever seen what I would consider a negative post on this site.

Is there any precedent over here?
I think such conversations are fun. As long as everyone stays polite.

Here? I don't think so. However Scooter and I are members on another site that had one go radically horse$≠¡+ recently, hence our aversion to such topics.

@Paruwi knows what I'm talking about and would in all likelihood agree.

As someone who likes guitars, I'm always interested to know how other poeple see things in such matters, as long as they are not fanatics ofc.

Judging from what I've seen all over youtube... yeah...
At the same a conversation with such ppl will not offer anything...

I don't frequent in many guitar forums, Just Epitalk and another one, to a lesser extent.

It's one of those seemingly appropriate topics that just devolves rapidly.
It'd be akin to discussing helmet use / laws on a bicycle forum.
You may have your views and be reasonably open minded, but it triggers some normally good and rational folks into pure @$$4©|€ mode.
