So I went down to a local pawn shop that was having a "going out of business" sale just to look around and see what they had. I had no intention of buying anything, but I saw a black Squier Affinity Strat in the back so naturally I had to take a look. About 30 minutes later, I ended up taking it home along with a gig bag and a new pack of strings all for $40. It's got some dings, scratches, and needs cleaned up, but I think it could be a pretty decent guitar. Glad I got some new strings because it needs them bad. The neck and frets feel good and everything works as it should so I figured for that price, why the hell not? If I decide I don't like the rosewood fretboard, I have an old beat up Affinity Strat neck with a maple one that I can put on instead All in all, I'm pretty happy with the deal.
