Yeah I know what you mean Digger, endless grey skies & constant rain gets you down at times.
Speaking of watches, I don’t really want any bells & whistles. I do want it waterproof and I do want it to power itself and I do want hands that glow in the dark. $300 should cover it.
I’ve always found the bezel on divers watches useful so that will be the style I get.
Maybe a mid winter trip to a Spanish isle to lift the spirits?
I’d imagine prices of European holidays would be reasonable from there? Then again maybe a nice bottle of single malt will help if you’re not travellers?
Yeah there are some cheap deals on continental holidays, I've never owned a passport and never left the shores of Blighty
My younger brother has had a holiday home in Seville in Spain for over 15 years . I could have free holidays if I wanted but I've never been yet, I'm a hermit.
I agree with Stu, travel is fantastic and we can’t wait to go again.
Never know, you might meet some Aussies~
I heard he was going to be the new Iron Man......outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre
I might have gone when my knackered back wasn't as bad, it isn't up to it these days, after twenty minutes travelling in a car I'm in agony.
I've had that new Kia Niro car almost 12 months now and only done 1400 miles in it I've come to the conclusion I just don't enjoy travelling these days.
I’m sorry to hear your back is so bad Ian. I have a moderate lower back problem but nothing as bad as you by the sound of it.
I have to slow down on lifting heavy stuff as one of my hernias is sticking right out now.
The mind is willing but the flesh keeps letting me down.
I don't think there is anything worse than a bad back.
Not if you have to do hard physical work there isn’t.
Unfortunately my hard physical work days are long gone...
I have no choice living on a property though it takes the right machinery for me to manage these days.
I work a for a while then lie down to recover, then go back to it if I can.
Frustrating having my hand in a big bandage ATM because there is little I can do. I hung the washing out yesterday and that was really the first time that I’d been able to use my thumb for 10 days and while I managed, I paid a price for the rest of the day with it throbbing badly.
Whats even worse...(Grin) is I can’t hold my rifle and there are rabbits running everywhere!
Hoping that some of the bandage will come off on Monday and then they are going to learn some respect!!!
Are you talking about the old, Mann 's Chinese Theater in Hollywood ?
Yes, and I had put a link in the post for clarification.
The joke was that there are typically costumed "actors" busking out front.
Originally named and still commonly known as Grauman's Chinese Theatre, it was renamed Mann's Chinese Theatre in 1973; the name lasted until 2001, after which it reverted to its original name. On January 11, 2013, Chinese electronics manufacturer TCL Corporation purchased the facility's naming rights, under which it is officially known as TCL Chinese Theatre.
Arrecife in the Canary Is is lovely and very affordable. I'm trying to convince my missus to move there.
Too much of a good thing might not be good long term....Grin~
I’ve always said I don’t want it all, just some of it, and now would be a good time.
