Okay so as some of you know my son and I love modding guitars, some of you may remember a couple of years ago I created 2 custom Gretsch G2420T's one of him and one for me, well over the last couple of weeks he's fallen for the look of my sheratons (1962 Ltd Ed & Sherton II) so we thought we'd see what we could do with his beloved 2012 Dot Studio.
The guitar already had been rewired when we transplanted some elitist Les Paul pickups into it a couple of years ago, but now the transformation is complete. If I'm honest I'm actually quite jealous, the mixture of pickups, wiring and tailpiece combined with the all mahogany body make for a fantastic sounding blues and classic rock guitar.

The only real issue is what to call it.

Nice work. I like how you disguised the old tailpiece holes.

Yeah I know what you mean, when we did the first mods to this i.e wring, pots and cap back in 2012 I had a Epi 335 PRO that I'd rewired and put Gibson 57 classics in. My sons studio just played circles around the pro sound wise - so much so I sold it not long after, fast forward to now and though my natural sheraton has elitist pickups (my sons has ST60 & SR50, mine has ST50 & SR50) I find the sound of this more appealling for certain things.

I really want one of those, of course that means I'd need to actually install my B5....
