I'm going to wind a set, Fat 42 bridge, & Old #5 neck, & send em on the road for EpiTalk forum members to test, & review.
This is the set that @IGRocker reviewed here
    http://www.epiphonetalk.com/threads/opinions-maybe-a-bit-of-help.3345/#post-49600
    Post #10 is his review.

If you'd like to give em a go, contact me by private message, & post in this thread.

Due to shipping prices, I'd like to keep it local U.S./North America please.
A fair, & honest review, posted in this thread, is all I ask.
Sound clips aren't required, but will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance, to any, & all who participate.

    Darryl D

Sounds like a cool way to try out something in a rig you're trying to find a voice for.

    Thanks for the bump!
I figured on a forum of guitar players, it wouldn't be this hard to get someone to try a set of pickups.
    :dunno:

Don't let it bug you. It's a "small room" and a lot of us are either happy with what we have, or don't have a new project, or both. Someone will be in a mood to try them and I'd bet it might be soon.

I thought about MLP, but I haven't been there for some time, & all the corks make me a bit wary.
Yea, I'd considered that, & don't really blame anyone, once you've found a tone you're happy with, it's kinda hard to justify ripping your guitar apart.
I also get the 'small room' thing, but being a 'small fish', I thought I'd test the waters here, before jumping into the ocean, there's sharks out there!:ohno:

Pfft, I haven't really bothered with MLP since I caught a ban for telling off some corksniffer who was talking down to some guy who wanted to add shielding to his axe.

And that kinda shyte is what drove me away from there to begin with.
Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of good people there, & a lot of good info, but the attitude of the majority is just plain ignorant

News on the pup front, @IGRocker has finished his review of the Old #5/Fat 42 set, a former band mate might be interested in trying the set, but not certain at this point.
Either way, he has graciously (thank you) agreed to send them to the next person who wants to try em out!
If anyone here is interested (IG's friend has first dibs) drop a post here, & we'll work out the details.

    Thanks in advance
    DD

I'm not even sure if it is allowed there...

lots of paying vendors might spot the 'rival' and report it sooner as we think

I get your point, & that does make sense. Didn't even really think about that till you mentioned it.
At this point, I'm only seeking opinions, & constructive criticism. If & when I do move toward selling, it'll be on ebay, or Reverb, maybe.
Thanks for the heads up Pete.
If I did decide to sell here, what would my responsibility be toward the forum here?
    Pay for Vendors status?
Premium member? Does this forum have that?

Not to speak for Pete, but as far as I can tell, so long as you put it in the "Member Classifieds" section and don't turn into a flaming asshat about it, you should be fine. :D

Italia Leather (strap company) does this over on the other site and nobody bothers them. Largely because they stick to the classifieds and don't spam the ish out of it or the rest of the site. They also offer discount coupons to forum members.

I only plug them because they are much cooler, as a poster, than the vendors I dealt with on MLP.

AFAIK there are no 'rules' set by the admin for his 'smaller' forums
IIRC if a vendor pays at MLP, he can advertise here for free.

I think we can figure it out when you really start to sell them
