I have no words for this.....
fit and finish good?
look at the size of the split diamond inlay...
both were bought recently
lol oh shit i didn't even notice lol. Are they doing it on all of them now?
only €piphone will know.....
Large print for older players.
Hmmm ... look at the font alignment on the TRC. Binding on the upper right side is messed up.
Everything is wonky on this one.
How will we differenciate the new fakes from the real thing with tuner washers over the binding ?
Wow, great catch!
I've got to think that they're way behind in production and moving as quickly as possible to get product to retail.... and the line is new so it's almost a perfect storm for this kind of thing? maybe???
So trivia! I could own either of those and play them daily for thirty years and never notice those inlay isues. I wonder if my 60 LP/SG Custom or my 64 Byrdland was similar? Never know, they are long gone now.
I don't know, but I'm staying away from EE20.....
What a bunch of mo's; what do you spend more time doing, polishing your guitars or waxin' the dolphin? Just play the damn guitar and quit expecting a Gibson Custom Shop instrument for 500 bucks!
If only that was true!
I got an Epiphone Pro-1 this year. To be fair the guitar plays well but the thing has the wrong bridge on it. It’s supposed to be a dark rosewood string through bridge. Instead it has a light who knows what classic pinned bridge. They’re all like that too when I took it to the store for exchange even tho Epiphone lists the string through bridge as a selling point for it still. And they don’t sell it’s proprietary string set they suggest you use either that comes on it. They go on and on in the advertising about the strings but do they sell them? No.
Tried emailing Epiphone about the bridge but they’ve ignored my emails. GC initially responded and offered an appeasement but the second I said okay to an appeasement they stopped responding to my emails.
More than anything if that’s how “customer service“ is gonna be I’m done with both companies tbh.
You are as guilty as anyone who commented on the discrepancies What are guitar forums for if not to nick pick details on gear ?
Yeah, lets stick to tonewood, pup cover & pickguard on or off discussions.
Just put me on your ignore-list - like I did.....
That's a shame. The new SG Custom headstocks I've seen look great. No washers over the binding. They have the vintage-y tuners though and not Grovers. I think Epi should have used those on the LP too.
The washers over the binding is not a good look.
It seems we have all of the pansies together in one thread... nitpicking, whining and moaning about the little things, instead of enjoying life and enjoying guitars. @Raiyn man, you haven't matured one bit - ignore me if you want, now I remember why I stay away from this (and other places). @BGood is good at being a know it all too, can dish it out but can never take it. Why older folk seem more like babies every day is beyond me.
You guys suck, keep your forum.
