I couldn’t find the old one, and I miss @Stuart, but here’s a new one.

For Thanksgiving, the bride and I considered many a wide and varied menu, then said screw it. No one is coming for a big meal, so we’re air frying wings!

    Here's the old one

I consider myself a pretty good chef and I can do the fancy stuff but on Thanksgiving it's all traditional around here. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, green bean casserole, homemade bread, ect, ect. Some things like Thanksgiving dinner just need to be treasured for what they are imo.

My foot having healed it looks like I'll be able to attend a family dinner with my daughters in-laws after all. My guess is the menu will consist of turkey and ham with more sides than any group of people can consume so I guess I should fast 'til dinner time.

Ahh, a man of culture! I too enjoy slices off the can o'cran. That and green bean casserole are my two must have a for holiday meals beyond stuffing.

I'm doing sous vide Turkey etc. for the evening meal, there won't be much leftovers to bring back from SWMBO's parent's early-bird meal - by design, and I don't want to upstage anyone.

The bride was feeling a little tender today, so we’re putting off the fried wing fest and reheating some Italian sausage, peppers, and tomatoes in an improvised garlic creme sauce served over mini farfalle.

Sous Vide turkey from last night. I was perhaps a little heavy with the torch on the skin, but the meat was fantastic.

So we had the son, DIL, and granddaughters over tonight, and since they didn’t want a Thanksgiving dinner again, and we weren’t making one anyway, we had a Great British Home Baker ultimate drinks party menu, with pulled BBQ pork sliders, chicken wings (some seasoned, some lightly bathed in a Thai peanut sauce), shrimp cocktail, chips and queso, and something the bride found which was club crackers with a small piece of bacon and brown sugar, then bake the hell out of it. All was tasty, but the bacon crackers, y’all…

We did TV dinners so nobody would have to do dishes. Made some stuffing to go along with it. And, no eating leftovers for a week.

Friday I was torn between just eating salad to compensate for Thursday and eating the good leftovers before they vanished.

    I did both.

I had some leftover "Roman Stew". A Momma Storm classic when I was growing up. A bit of beef, onion mushroom etc. in a tomato & wine sauce served on rice.

I didn't name it BTW, I just inherited a few recipes.

Tonight will likely be a lovely risotto.

I celebrated Thanksgiving in an old-fashioned way. I invited everyone in my neighborhood to my house, we had an enormous feast, and then I killed them and took their land.

It was. We did a mushroom, broccoli and Edam version.

I suspect there will be a bit of Turkey Cleanout tonight.
