I have a multitude of guitar colors including a few black ones. I do like black in my vehicles though.

It could just be me in my current state but it looks like that Epi is on acid.

    Nice painting.
Reminds me of the Caiman tops on some old Ibanez axes.

i am definitely with you on that. Have no use for black cars, clothes or guitars. Just dark, drab and boring.

Hahaha, I’m sitting here in black clothes with my two black axes! Oh well, I’m happy. I hope you are too!

Hardly boring. The black cars I’ve had have been amongst my favorites. You see the one above, but here’s photo representation of the others. Not a boring car in the bunch. 953A3415-14C2-4D33-BDFB-CB53CAD791E4.jpeg EDE1D618-87CE-4969-871B-4E7CA70C7B48.jpeg A8878326-997E-4D5E-90EB-AE76A194F7B7.jpeg

A ragin' 110hp from 2.2 liters of K-car thunda!

Not gonna lie, I thought they were pretty sweet when I'd visit the dealership with Dad, of course I wasn't even close to getting a license at that point and anything with 2 doors that wasn't a pregnant rollerskate (read: Omni) was awesome.

Of course, the Mopars Dad was driving in those days were built to be easy on the gas so anything that didn't require 5 miles of planning to pass on roads you knew like the back of your hand was hot shizz.

150 for the Shelby. The car was a step above agricultural equipment, the road grip was only because of the Goodyear Gatorback tires, and it blew out the turbo at a shade under 80,000 miles, but it was quite fast and fun for a while, and looked pretty good.

EDIT: 147 HP in 1986, which mine was. The handful of 87’s got 174 ponies.

We didn't get Shelby's in our (literal) neck of the woods. We got a fair few striped up like that Charger in the picture, though I'm 99.8% sure they were base model tape racers. Fancy body kits and summer tires didn't make for more than a tourist wagon or a summer car up there*. Something like that would've spent most of its time on jackstands to keep those (not cheap IIRC) Gatorbacks from getting flat spotted.

*An extravagance that was largely frowned upon during a time when so many were getting laid off.

    The
Charger in the photo is a Shelby Charger, just like the one I had. There were some stripe and ground effects packages, but mine was the real deal. And when it was time to get new tires, I couldn’t afford Gatorbacks, and the handling fell right off. Fortunately, I was in Cocoa Beach by then, and curvy backroads weren’t to be found on a barrier island, so it didn’t really matter.

I have three black guitars. One Epiphone, one Gibson, and one Fender. I also own a purple Carvin and two Sierra Sunburst (I think that's the color) Fenders. My Corolla is black. If it's any consolation, I'll never buy another black car again.
