Epiphone Wilshire with Horse-shoe Varitone!

    Earlier this year I broke the tremolo arm on the Tremotone on this 2012 Wilshire Re-issue and sat broke for a while. After soldering it and re-breaking there wasn't much left to fix I considered my options. So did a little search for Epiphone Tremolo and with some drilling and elbow grease, I got this:

    Not too bad, huh?! has a rustic look that goes well and not worth polishing anyhow. Here is a full view:

    Really smooth action and fixed the problem with the strings coming off the saddles if you hit them too hard. This reminded me of the concept guitar Epiphone posted on FB:

    honestly the only guitar the clipped wings headstock really worked for me. It'd be great to see this with the Varitone tremolo and maybe some binding. One can hope but I'm glad to have the Wilshire back on commission!

    So why didn't you just go with a B5 Bigsby?
