A set of Gibson '57 Classic '(Patent Applied For) humbuckers. Like the original PAFs, both pickups have the same output (8.81 and 8.87 kΩ). So it doesn't matter which is bridge and which is neck. They have 2-conductor braided wiring with double-stranded wire, not triple-stranded like imitation PAFs. One pickup has the remnant of the "Patent Applied For" sticker and one has it largely intact.

The leads are 17 inches long. The original gold finish has faded a little and that natural relicing gives it mojo at no extra cost.

From the manufacturer:

Introduced in 1990, the '57 Classic provides warm, full tone with a balanced response, packing that classic Gibson Patent Applied For humbucker™ crunch. They are made to the same specs as the originals, including Alnico 2 magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, maple spacers, and vintage-style, two-conductor braided wiring. The ’57 Classic humbucker features balanced coils for a smoother, creamier tone and excellent hum cancelation. The pickups are also wax potted to remove all internal air space and any chance of microphonic feedback.

Position: Any
  • Magnet: Alnico 2
  • Wiring: 2-Conductor
  • Cover: Gold
  • Double Black Bobbins
  • Wax Potted
  • Average DC Resistance: 8K

Bigsby B3 (USA) Vibrato Tailpiece 2010s - Gold

Epi-Talk Member price (incl. shipping to CONUS) - $200 firm

This Kalamazoo Series Bigsby B3 (USA) for thin semi-hollow-body guitars will add just enough subtle shimmer to your playing. It is sand-cast with the patent number. The original gold finish is worn in places, but the device is still very shiny.

Included are four mounting screws and the spring. I don't have the washer, but you can find one on-line for a few dollars or you can just use a penny (much less than a few dollars) for the extra height.

The B3 is distinguishable from the licensed imports by the presence of the patent number and four mounting screws instead of three.

From the manufacturer:
  • Model Name: B3
  • Series: Original Kalamazoo Line
  • Manufacturing Method: Sand Cast
  • Manufacturing Material: Aluminum
  • Approximate weight: 296 grams/10.4 oz.
  • Overall Length: 7 5/8”/193.7mm
  • Overall Width: 3 5/8”/92.1mm
  • Arm adjusts with 1/8” Allen wrench and 5/16” socket wrench
