Hi I have been checking out this site and picked up my first Epiphone on Wednesday. Wile looking and researching I found a used 2016 SG Pro in ebony color . I'm new at playing and have one other Electric Guitar. It's a hand me down from one of my brothers a 1995 Mim Fender strat . I finally got the time to plug both guitars in to hear the differences between the two . I have lots to learn but look forward to learning to play something on this beauty.

Thanks for the welcomes . Yeah the Strat was one of my brothers 1rst guitar s he picked up used at a music. Store years ago . He had gathered a fleet of newer fancier ones one being an American Strat , tele and 2 Gibson LPs .The more I look around the lucyer I fell about having it . I wanted to add a Gibson style guitar to have something with different tones than my strat . Watching Derick Trucks playing the SG made me want one but $Gobson version was not in the budget.

Very cool, don't under estimate Epiphones however because Epiphones are great guitars and well built. I'm glad you decided on one.

Yeah so far from what I have read all around most people have had good things to say about Epiphones . If I get another it will be hard to choose. Hmmm Less Paul , 339,355, Casino and more.

With those 2 excellent guitars, you've got your basics covered.
What kind of amp do you have?

Congrats on the new to you G400 Pro, & welcome here at EpiTalk.
If you have any questions, just ask, someone here will probably have a good answer for you.
If you ask about what gear to buy, you'll run out of money, before you run out of answers!

    Very true.

However, I can top it - go to lunch with a couple guys from the forums like I do once a month. If they aren't trying to sell you gear directly, they're adding fuel to the G.A.S. fire.

Yeah I missed the spelling on that on though it kind of works ($gobs of money) the (cork sniffer ) label cracks me up . You will get those in most hobbys . I have a 1963 VW bug( Rag top) some people stick there nose up to 70s VWs and call them Fat Chicks. Oh for amp o have another hand me down its a Crate G-60 ( not sure how good that is)and bought a Black Star Fly mini amp to practice with .
