I was almost thinking of designating you as our rep from the Arctic being held captive in Florida but I'm not sure anyone can be from a place with no land mass.

Yes. That's the great interest of international forum for me :

--- maintaining / improving some English language (at least writing / reading).

--- sharing a much larger knowledge about subjects of interest (hence Epiphone, Gretsch...)

I did not subscribe anymore to any French forums : la plupart sont des ramassis d'imbéciles arrogants, aussi ignorants que dogmatiques, et sans éducation, ce qui va du reste avec.

I don't think that I need to translate : everyone here guesses...

Hey @krecio : Jola Defill was an old brand of Polish guitars (and accordions), right ? Or was it Eterna Musima ? No, I think Musima was Czech, while Jola Defill was Polish... Am I correct ?

Thanks @Raiyn for your kind words , but I apologize for my incomprehension of the English subtleties : what do mean by

We had a rather virulent merdeux troll from France who would visit from different cafés so he could have a different I.P. address for his various guises.

I referred to him as "The Mime" as a rather unflattering way of identifying him as the French Troll. When he would appear I would then counter troll with various Mime memes to sound the alarm.

It's part of the reason I probed you a hard as I did when you first arrived. I wanted to make sure you were who you portrayed yourself to be - especially since we didn't have a moderator at that point.

I'm truly glad that you are who you say you are. As I said: you are a fine French ambassador, and I am glad to count you as a friend

Ah, OK @Raiyn - I see now...

And yes, I remember that famous story of a French gros connard qui vous pourissait la vie ici that you told me... I suppose that you finally eradicated this parasite from E-T !

But be reassured : most of the French people doesn't understand English, and to be sadly honest, they even are barely able to speak or write French correctly, so this is some kind of "safety language barrier" which drastically reduces to an anecdote the probability to face a French moron on an English language forum...

PS : just for the history, my name and family are French since 13 Centuries, with my ancestor buried in an abbey...
