I had a great nights sleep last night for the first time in days :yesway:, the wind had turned from southerly to north easterly & the fresh breeze coming in through the open windows was wonderful, It got rid of the muggy air.

Hazy sunshine here with a high of 23C.

We had a nice day here today and I managed to wade into a pile of downed trees and cut my way into easier access whereas before it was like “pick up sticks”.

I can see that the weather in the channel was good enough for a few groups of “tourists” to make landfall. Big problem that!

Yeah I thought it was the end of the migrant camps on the French coast a while ago. there are around 20 small boats making the crossing each day, The UK are getting some of the armed forces involved to intercept them in the channel as the French authorities cant seem to stop them at their end, The reports say they'll all be returned to France by plane after medical checks.

Unstable air, so muggy one needs gills. We’re in for and interesting week weather wise. 98° for the high today, will feel like 110° or so.

It’s currently ZERO degrees but a beautiful morning at 0730 hours. Looking for a top of 16C but it all turns to poo from tomorrow on with another low pressure system making its way slowly through.

The last few days have been muggy & we've still got another three days & nights of oppressive sticky weather. It's bleedin' horrible

We had thunder/lightening showers through the night & more of the same for the rest of the week according to the forecast, 28C & overcast today :wow:and already muggy.

My sympathy to you mate, having been there in a hot summer I know what it’s like. Bedrooms upstairs make it worse.

Today we have an expectation of 17C maximum with maybe 1mm of rain. There is a sliver of light on the horizon to the east at 6am these mornings.

Have a shower before you go to bed but don’t completely dry off, that should get you a bit more sleep at the start.
