Sun up under partly cloudy skies. It 67F w/69% RH. Nice cool morning.

Had some rain last night as the summer monsoon is arriving so we cool off to a high around 80F today with a decent chance we'll see some more rain later on.

Yeah, I still remember Dad planting the yard with Kentucky Bluegrass and the lush lawn it produced. That picture is still shocking.

We had 3 years of grass just like that leading up to the bushfires.

A cool one today 13C and windy.

Up really early this AM. Got kinda played out yesterday from running around as I continue my shedding of unwanted goods and looked into getting some brake work done on my car. Hit the hay around 8:00 PM.

The brakes aren't shot but I'm thinking I may do better getting them done before I move if only because there are more Toyota specialists here. I like working with a small shop that doesn't over charge.

Yesterdays cooling off didn't really happen. The outside temp indicator in my car registered 91F around mid afternoon. It was partly cloudy, hazy, and humid but no rain around here at any rate.

It's 67F w/51% RH at 3:00 AM and we're looking at the low 90Fs again today and through next Thursday when we might finally see some rain. It seems the monsoon rains are staying south of us but that could always change overnight.

It also seems we have yet another high pressure "heat dome" forming so the entire US is gonna be roasting under some hot sunny skies. This isn't at all good for all of the western fires we've been having this summer.

Currently 63F w/58% RH and headed for another sunny day in the 90Fs.

The air quality continues to be a problem with ozone levels above their mandated limits. We could really use some strong winds to stir up the air and push some of the smoke and haze away.

A high of 20C, Overcast & very muggy here, We're expecting thunderstorms & heavy rain from mid morning onwards so I'll be moving some planters & shifting some stuff to higher ground off the garage floor before the deluge arrives.

Our humidity is finally down to reasonable levels as in 44% today, so nothing like you are having. It was a delightful day here!

It's bright sunny morning and at 7:30 AM already 72F. We should hit the mid 90Fs today with some sources even predicting we'll hit 100F. Oof, I'm sweatin' already.

It's wet wet wet out there & more rain forecast for throughout the day. Top temp is 17C with grey skies. It poured down in buckets yesterday with lots of standing water about so I doubt I'll be doing anything apart from the opticians appointment this afternoon.

4:30 AM and it's already 77F w/46% RH. Yesterday we hit 98F. Today we're looking at 99F and 102F is predicted for tomorrow. The "heat dome" cometh.

Despite the brutal heat and foul air it's been relatively comfortable indoors and at night while sleeping. As long as I keep the A/C running full on it stays at 72F with RH ranging from 40%-60%. Cool and comfy enough wearing shorts and a t-shirt and of course the guitars and basses love this kind of climate.

Gonna head up to my daughters today to lend a hand. Although 3 1/2 year old Rylan will be in her day care group all day nearly 1 year old toddler Rory has been suffering from an intestinal bug that affected her entire age group. As a result she and several other toddlers have had to be kept home until it clears up.

So today I will play Grandpa/Nanny for Rory so Mommy and Daddy can get some work done and I'm about to have my somewhat rusty diapering skills put to use again....LOL. Haven't seen my granddaughters in over 6 weeks so I'm looking forward to this. Rory is standing on her own now and just about ready to take her first steps so maybe Grandpa can be the one to encourage that. :fingersx: :applause:

Looks like you're going to be busy looking after Rory, What a lovely picture :thumb:
It must be hard to put up with brutal temps & foul air on top of it, Looks like back to normal Summer weather here with grey skies, light rain with a high of 16C today.

Thanks Ian. Both girls bring a lot of joy to an old man's life just like their Mommy did. Still can't get over just how much Rory looks like her at that same age. Rylan had a big hug for me when she got home and after dinner we assembled and decorated a Paw Pals Gingerbread House. She's loves to watch Paw Pals.

It's 70F w/31% RH at 5:30 AM heading for another day in the high 90s that may even hit 100f. Driving up north to my daughters place I could get a good look at the mountains and the thick haze hanging over everything. I can't recall ever seeing it quite like this before and then thinking geez I'm breathing this stuff.

Looks like the weekend will finally bring some relief from the heat along with some much appreciated T-Storms and rain. It should be about 10F-20F degrees cooler on Saturday and Sunday and staying that way next week. Blessed relief.
