10:00 AM and it's 78F with RH of 34% headed for the low 90Fs. And yet another day with an air quality alert, There's a brownish grey haze every day. Denver is now in the top 5 cities as far as having the worst air quality. Makes me glad I'm moving away for awhile.

Here's a look at our breathing air thanks to the west coast fires.

That sort of pollution would likely kill me. Sorry you have to put up with it.

Yesterday was a ripper day and we worked outside all day. Better today with 18C.

It was a beautiful day here of 18C today and I worked outside mostly.
I don't think we’ve had a minus temperature this winter so far.

It's 8:20 AM. The temp is 73F headed for 93F w/RH at 35%. The drier air combined with the smoke and our usual level of funky air are really starting to play havoc with my sinuses and allergies.

I may pack a suitcase and head up into the mountains for a day or two just to get some clean air to breathe again. It's clear and sunny but through the haze even the sky is a milky blue not it's usual deep blue.

    It's gettin' even worse today......

At noon it's a toasty 91F with 12% RH. The air is still very foul due in part to the fires out west so I'm staying inside as much as possible where I can keep it a cool 72F with 50% RH. Good for me and the guitars.

38 straight days with poor air quality and ozone alerts. Denver may not be burning but we're sure getting some fallout from those fires farther west.

At this altitude the air is already much thinner so I really feel sorry for those who have to work outside in this foul pea soup air we've been experiencing.

Blimey! soulman that must be tough to breathe that in as well as enduring the very hot temps there.

LOL Apart from the two-three weeks heatwave we had a few months ago Aussie Winters are the same as Lancashire Summers :D
It's a grey day with rain showers forecast for after lunch with a high of 19C.

Just staying inside during the daytime as much as I can Ian. The part of town I currently live in is also one of the lower areas in metro Denver so the crud air settles here more so than it does to the west of us in the foothills.

There's also a major crosstown highway not more than a half block from my door which carries traffic by the thousands each day. That also contributes to the foul air in this particular neighborhood. So in a sense we're doubly cursed.

Moving back to the area in Wisconsin where my Dad lives will be a relief. It's very much on the edge of things with mostly open space and farmland to the west. I'll only have to readjust to the smell of manure again back there.....LOL.

When I eventually move back it will not be anywhere near Denver proper. It will be in the area north of here where there is open space and farms as well and what the hell, I'll already be more accustomed to smelling manure by then.

It's still before 4:00 AM, 62F and still pitch black outside but the weatherman says look for highs in the mid '90s again with very low humidity. We're at 36% now and probably half that or less by late morning and the afternoon.

The benefit to staying in as much as possible is it's a cool air conditioned 72F inside with RH typically in the 50% range. It's quite comfortable provided I keep playing the hermit. :frown: Thank God for music and 15 guitars and basses. :D

I'll be driving through Wisconsin this coming Tuesday.
Suffice to say I'm not looking forward to muttering "g**d*** cheesehead" on a loop for several hours, but one does what one must.

I'm sure there are portions of Wisconsin that are quite lovely, but for whatever reason I despise driving through the state.

    Oh yeah, weather.
