I'll take it. I don't think the A/C kicked in at all today.

For once, I'm not down with MN weather.

Cold rain isn't exactly my favorite thing - though it does rank higher than freezing rain / sleet.

We’re expecting a top of 23C here today and it’s warm and close to that from when we got up. There are thunderstorms coming across however and 100KPH winds are thought to be possible. It’s already as windy as heck.
They are talking about “Thunderstorm Asthma” so I guess that's to do with high winds and pollen count this time of year.

A few years ago we had such an event and dozens died, even some that had never had asthma or hayfever before. I know our hospital system was swamped and it’s close to that with Covid already, so it’s not a day to get crook! I’ll go in and help with grocery shopping this morning but will close the windows and hibernate at home this arvo when it’s expected.

You too my man. I've been extremely busy lately. The wife and I bought our house we have been renting for almost 9 years. I huge weight off of our shoulders. A couple of times they almost sold the house out from under us so now we don't ever have to move...:)

Congrats on buying the house, that's good news to not have that uncertainty hanging over you ever again.

Lots of rain again with weather warnings out for local flooding :frown: A high of 12C today.

Today was a day with winds as high as 125 KPH and it has caused immense damage right across the state. Tonight 525.000 households are without power and damage and disruption is everywhere!

The lowest the wind got here today was 50 KPH but you could barely walk against it at it’s peak.

I’ve only experienced that sort of thing once, in 2003. We had a straight line wind storm, or derecho as I learned it was called, come through early one morning with winds measured in excess of 100 mph in some of the metro area. We called it Hurricane Elvis. I was driving to work - and at the time I had a proper weighty British saloon, a Jaguar XJ6 - and I thought I was going to be blown off the road. I felt the car lifting, but it remained earthbound. Power was out at work for a week, and at our house for just over two weeks. Below was a common scene all over town. We had a line of trees along the back of our property, and the bride said she watched them fall one by one.

Cool here today with a top of 17C anticipated and overcast skies. We have a 4 day weekend coinciding with the cessation of travel restrictions, so hundreds of thousands are travelling to holiday spots as I type. I don’t think I’d like to be in a tent this weekend!

Our verandah is covered in leaves so thats my first job this morning! At some point I’ll jump on the tractor and check around for fallen trees.

    I am in a F U N K.

You'd figure with a new guitar, projects a plenty and perhaps a free moment or two I'd be good to go, but I just feel bogged down and isolated. Granted, I've had some stuff on the schedule absorbing some of my time, but when I'm free - I'm completely unmotivated and it irritates me.

I think we all have periods like that from time to time. i constantly struggle with motivation to get out and work as I’d rather just read a book. Everything else seems too hard at times. However stuff has to get done.

We did, and the best thing is, we don't have to move. We've been here almost 9 years.

Breezy & still chucking it down here as it's been for most of the night, top temps of 11C. Just as well I'm crocked as I wouldn't be going out today.
