It has been terrible weather here of late - terrible for January in northern Illinois, anyway; only a handful of days that haven't gotten over freezing. Proper winter may finally be here, though; ±2" of snow - first accumulation >.125" of the year, second of the season - overnight, and still coming down. But I am afraid it will probably melt in a day or 2.
And yes, I am complaining; no snow = drought, no freezing throws the whole ecosystem into chaos.
32 degrees and snowing. Going up to 33-34 today, so the snow won't be on the ground for long. But a little more snow comin' tomorrow and it'll start all over again.
Finally got some sun and clear skies at least for now. Slowly the snow it melting off cars and snow banks are shrinking a bit but we're due to see clouds later today and more snow tomorrow. Temps are only 33F for a high.
Another clear day with a light Southerly.
Ideal for getting the doorsteps painted and for sanding and sealing a scaffold plank for Justine's pot plants to sit on in order to keep them elevated off the deck.
According to the weather persons .......... DOOM & GLOOM tonight . We'll probably get a trace of snow , and be in a state of emergency tomorrow as everyone forgot how to drive . Got up to 50 F today .... currently 34 F which will be the High for tomorrow with the temps plummeting to 32 F tomorrow . I live in a crazy state ..... but it's fun !
