A high of 20C today until mid afternoon when we're expecting a Southerly front to come through , bucket it down and drop the temp to 14C.
It's supposed to be short lived though and nice again tomorrow.
Yep, Rob... it's time to cut some more firewood in preparation for the filth to come.
I actually like doing wood! Dropping trees, carting, splitting and then the lovely rosy warmth of the wood heater during the colder months and I miss when we don’t have it. It’s a really blokie activity and good exercise.

How are you going with the SUP?

Hey Rob, I'm going quite well with the SUP. Thanks for asking.
I need some calm days to work on technique and hopefully develop a good paddle stroke, to the point where it becomes muscle memory.
Other than that, my balance is pretty good and I can see it being good therapy and exercise (core strength) in the time to come.

Came too late for me to try as Vertigo kicks my bum with balance based activities, like kayaking.
Ears are damaged.

I’m glad you are enjoying yourself.

I'm sorry Vertigo has afflicted you Rob. That sucks!
I work at the local hospital and spend a lot of time with older folk, some of whom have Vertigo and it can be totally debilitating eh?
My balance is impeded by the loss of an eye 18months ago due to an injury 5 years previously and it was my good eye! lol That's why I'm looking at the SUP as therapy as much as a fun way to get exercise.
Yep, this growing old isn't for the faint hearted.
All the very best Rob.

32°/0° when I got up. Maybe mid 40’s/7sh for the high. In mid March, in De Ole Souf. I guess that’s what I get for starting the winter to spring clothing transition.

I got up at 7 this morning after a sleep in to find a gorgeous misty light over the property. A bit of fog, maybe a little smoke from the burn offs and a gorgeous golden glow from the rising sun.

So beautiful!

Expecting 27C here today with a warming trend.

I find those cam shots fascinating, You're more than welcome to keep the ice age white cold stuff over there though :D

Still with the mild weather here which means rain, Lots of it today with dark grey skies & a high of 10C.
Since you liked that one, here's one from this morning.

It's even colder than the prior one and there's a fresh sheet of ice on the canal under the ice fog. I doubt it's very thick, but it looks cool.

Here it's 62°F with a high of 72°

I'm going to post this with one note, the cameraman needs one of those fur windblockers for his microphone. They make it sound like a bloody hurricane.

29C is out top, a warm spell for a couple of days.

“Experts” are saying that we are about to leave our long period of wet cool weather and start with dry hot weather. These cycles usually last about 3 years.

Here's hoping!
Back to rain today (and for 6 out of the next 7 days if the forecasters are correct) with a high of 19C.
Though it was a lovely day yesterday it felt decidedly Autumnal.

I read it was expected to slow down and come to a halt later this year but our Winter weather would still be affected?
I guess we'll have to wait and see?
Having been burned out once I’m not keen on repeating that experience and so it’s extended dry hot periods that are on my mind. Fuel load after 3 years of wet is unbelievable!

I’ve actually had enough wood stacked and drying to last 18 months or so but it’s Roz my SIL that needs supply so I’ll be splitting for her this season. I have stuff we cut during the fire clean up that is dry just needs splitting and transporting. I’ve got some nice piles of red gum sitting up on the top boundary that I’ll start working on for next year too.

Love my chainsaws!
