This job is a booger. I quit on it tonight.

Ill start over tomorrow with a new strategy.

Just for your edification: Casino pots are 500ko Korean made. (oddly enough, by two different makers)Only the tone pots have caps-22mfd. The selector switch is a very sturdy looking device-I left it as is. I only removed the harness to install new P90s- Kent Armstrong P90s. 8.1ko and 8.2ko.
    I'm not enjoying the installation.[IMG]

You're a braver man then I. I like working on my guitars and I am a totally newbie at it. I look at those tiny f holes, and think there's no way I'm even attempting that. my patience is not unlimited.

I notice you have a Harmony Stella. Did you acquire it in one piece or restore it? I ask because I have a 57 Harmony neck and body I'm trying to decide if I will restore it.

Never had to do this myself, but I've seen a few of this guys vids, & he does a pretty good job.

    There's a part 2 after the first

I actually used his method in my first attempts to install the wiring harness but I couldn't make it work. His harness and the Casino harness are night and day. I found that the easiest way to do the Casino was by not using draw strings at all. The guitar harness in the video is shaped like a snake. The Casino harness is shaped like a spider. You'll never pull a four legged spider through the cavity of the Casino.
Here is the easiest way to do an install for a Casino: insert everything through rear pickup hole but do all your maneuvering and eyeing through the F hole.

The hardest thing I've ever worked on only has 3 holes, 1 takes a lot of coaxing, & the other...don't even try it:facepalm:

It's almost a family heirloom, lol. my uncle bought it second hand as a teenager and it ended up with me. it came intact, but it needs some definite tlc. The action is high, the back and front have become unglued in places. I tune to open and play slide with it. it's loud, big and bassy. I'll post some pics once I figure out how.

I was about to leave a very intelligent comment, forgetting that Casinos are hollow. D'oh! Anyway, I've taken the guts out of my 335 Copy several times now and it gets easier each time. But having an entire pickup opening would be nice!
