Not part of the 'Inspired by Gibson' line, but...

Epiphone Quietly Unveils Made-In-USA Casino | NAMM 2020
    Reverb

Over the past year, Gibson has been teasing big updates to the Epiphone line, leading many fans to dream up their own personal wishlists for the famed brand.

So when Epiphone announced the "Inspired By Gibson" series, some commenters were overjoyed to see that Kalamazoo-era headstocks would now be standard on all such models, softening the sharp-edged silhouette of Epiphone's recent output that many thought looked cheap. And still others were happy to see the Made-In-USA Texan acoustic. But some were left wondering, why just "Inspired By Gibson" models? Why just the Texan? Why not bring back the Coronet, the Wilshire, or other vintage designs from the pre-Gibson era of the brand?

Well, one thing everyone can get behind is a high-quality, US-made Epiphone Casino—which Gibson has quietly unveiled at its booth at the NAMM 2020 show.

Two Made-In-USA Casinos are on display right next to the Texans, one sporting a classy Vintage Burst finish and the other in a Royal Tan. But that's all the available info right now. From what it sounds like from Gibson booth workers, these are brand-new models that almost didn't make it to NAMM on time, so more details such as pricing and availability very much remain to be seen.

Epiphone's biggest fans may yet have unrequited desires for the future of the brand, but this step will certainly be met with a smile—assuming, perhaps, that the Made-In-USA price-point hews closer to the median Epiphone price as opposed to the median Gibson.

the new Anderton’s video shows off a new SG Prophecy with Fishman Fluence pickups, Les Paul Prophecy with locking tuners, belly cut & access neckjoint, Alex Lifeson style Les Paul with a Graphtech floyd type trem , Brendon Small Ghost Horse, a fantastic new blue Signature Les Paul for a Japanese artist, new ES-335 Dot finishes, a new PB ES-339 Pro, Billy Joel Uptown Kat Signature with mini-humbuckers & a gold back on some, a new Joe Pass Emperor, Lizzy Hale & Dave Rhude signatures & at the very end some new DC pro’s it looks like. The video also shows a lot of the new finishes for the already announced Epiphone models, the 50s & 60s LP’s are gorgeous, the Muse colours look great! I almost forgot the USA Casino & Texan are shown as well.

I never minded the old headstock and while I understand the reasons behind this from a business standpoint I'd actually prefer Epiphone separate their historic brand from Gibson not draw it even closer. JMHO

I definitely prefer the clipped headstock, the proportions are just off with the new one. It wouldn't stop me from buying them though, I like the changes to the SG lineup a lot, however I am not very keen on the LP finishes, the 50s clownburst and the junior colour are not great looking. I really don't get why they put the new headstock on the Casino though.

in addition to the stuff Anderton’s previewed in my previous post, they also demo’d a 59’ Les Paul with burstbuckers & rosewood board coming this summer, Epiphone is taking all my money this year.

the ones with the 'clipped ear' headstock may come down
the MiJ Elitist wont go down, I guess
their prices are insane, mostly more than when they were new a decade ago

gladly I found those 'modern' Elitists....:naughty:

As long as they keep making them well for all I care they could make 'em on the moons of Jupiter. Of course that might delay delivery a bit and shipping costs would be a bitch. ;)

Nice highlight video and I'll admit Will seems less corny when dressed in a business suit than in a Drs smock. Epi is going all in and becoming much bolder as far as taking some gambles on new product.

No idea. It was on Epiphone's facebook page so probably not photoshopped.

EDIT: Elitist Sheratons didn't have that headstock or TRC and had Imperial tuners. And I think the player's name is Emily Wolfe.
