Picked this up today for a nice price. It was very dirty and missing some parts. After a bare-bones clean, fret level and re-crown and setup it is quite gorgeous and plays really nicely. Seymour Duncan in the bridge seems nice. 8lb 10oz - nice weight.

O/T, but does anyone know a way to get rid of the blotchy patina on these once-gold pickup covers? I have the same issue on my LP ES - I would prefer them to be silver over how they are now.

Only way I see would be to make the gold finish disappear.

Looks great! interesting how only the pickup cover developed that and not the bridge/tuners. If you don't mind them being silver, metal polish would remove the gold fairly quickly.

I actually used a fret eraser om it, followed by a bit of Maguire's ScratchX. Looks much better now. No longer gold, but there was not much there to begin with.
