Just in......... my new 2021 Epi BB King Lucille

So far, I am very impressed. I did have to do a complete setup when I pulled it out of the box. It was really unplayable at first.

I have never tried to use a Varitone before. And, after spending a few hours with this one, I expect it will always stay on the #1 setting.

I ordered it expecting to replace the pickups. But, this Alnico Classic Pro pickups sound really good. The CTS pots are very nice and smooth.

I thought the same about the EpiLite case since I had not seen one. But this is really nice. Good protection without all the weight.

Basically, I am really happy with this Lucille!!

Great guitar albeit a bit on the heavy side for a semi-hollow body. The one I have was just over 9lbs. I didn't care as much for the humbuckers so I traded mine for a Casino.

Congrats on your Lucille. I like the new lightweight cases. Much easier to carry.

Nice! What is your opinion of the Varitone?

Oh wow! Super sweet guitars. I am fascinated by what the dial does on these guitars and must confess, I have no idea what they do.

    Maybe someone can enlighten me….
