Hi, I'm back. I have 2 guitars with P90's that I absolutely love, but overtime ive become tired of the hum in a P90, but I like the sound the P90 produces... is there a way to have a P90 without the hum? One that still maintains a large amount of the sound made by a P90 but removes the hum? thanks in advance!

A single coil is a single coil, embrace it.

Or, move away from the amp, get a filter for its power. There's always an angle to the amp where the hum disappear.

How close are you to the amp?

I don't notice it with my solid guitars much but with my Casino if the gain is up and I'm close enough to the amp it gets noisy. Especially if I face the amp, then I get feedback.

Somebody makes noiseless P90s with a dummy coil? Is it Lollar, Franklin, Creamery? I can't remember. But I read somewhere (again, can't remember) that they sit higher than a regular P90 because of the dummy coil.

Hum cancelling p90s are one solution (many makers have those) but they are essentially humbuckers in a p90 housing. The tone will reflect that as well.

One other solution people have toyed with are dummy coils such as this:

But if you want that true p90 tone, then the hum is just something that comes with it... Really gotta ride that volume knob like JJN.
