One of my favorite bands, ever, but this video is such an eclectic mash of genres that it has to be seen to be appreciated...

Note Jerry Cantrell's black, silk shirt, with his grunge-cut-off-sweat pants, and the fans blowing everyone's hair around in '80's hairband fashion is fantastic, in an, "I can't look away" sort of way...

    Totally agree... :frown:

In keeping with the theme of this thread, here is Mr. Staley in his finest form:

That entire concert is a masterpiece. Even the mistakes work to further the whole. The only downer is, you can see Layne is on his way out physically. Still in great voice, though...

Yeah you can tell he's almost gone. It's eerily similar to the Nirvana one.

Thankfully, this one didn't have the same ending as the other two.

In keeping with the theme, this is a great video, as Eddie just about loses it at the end, and the acoustic guitar work is amazing... In an interview he once said of "Black", "Everytime I perform this song, I'm reliving that breakup..." (paraphrase, I can't find the interview where he said that).

That's a great one too. I try to record the good ones from the 90's on my DVR when they rarely come on tv. I have Nirvana, Oasis, Alice in Chains, R.E.M., and Pearl Jam so far. There's a few more that I'd like to have but I can't think of them at the moment.

Okay, not a live performance video, but still very good nonetheless. Good Sunday morning song.

Mick and Keith wrote it. They wanted Gram to play steel guitar on it. They did some "stuff" and that never worked out. Gram asked Mick if he could put it on his record and Mick said okay as long as he didn't release it as a single. So this actually came out before the Stones ever released it. It sounds to me like Keith wrote a lot more of it than Mick did.

My favorite performance from the Woodstock movie. Alvin Lee could tear it up.
