Are the ProBuckers fitted in the new 'Inspired by Gibson' range of Epiphone guitars the same spec
as the ones Epiphone have been using for several years??

Yes, and they consistently receive high marks in honest reviews. They often come out ahead in blind comparison tests as well.

The '50s Standard Les Paul has a minor tweak. The ProBuckers Epiphone has been making since 2012 have been the PB-2/PB-3 set; however, the 50s standard comes with a PB-1/PB-2 set, which is somewhat lower output. (Just like with Gibson's Burstbuckers).
