D'Addario, but the Balanced Tension 10's (EXL110BT) I don't get along with Ernie Ball strings for the most part.
Just ordered... https://www.musiciansfriend.com/gui...special-i-p90-electric-guitar/h77433000003000 Pics to follow in an upcoming NGD thread! I had been eye-balln' this one in TV Yellow for a bit, then hemmed-and-hawed between this Epi or a Squier Bullet Strat. Well, when I noticed MF was closing out the Worn Cherry Epi for $120 usd, my mind was then made up. Can't wait! Regards Jason
Congrats. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about those P90 Specials. Good deal too.
My new Epi '59 Les Paul dark burst. Thank you everyone who gave me string suggestions. I actually bought a couple packs of Gibson vintage reissue (50's era). I figure I'd try out what came on the original '59's lol. Also gonna get some Ernie Ball super slinky's too.
Here are 2 if my Epiphone Les Paul's I love both of them but the ebony 2020 custom is my baby I bought it in August. I haven't done any modifications to it and the only thing I am changing is new strap locks and they haven't been delivered yet lol in all seriousness Epiphone has improved the quality of the product which makes owning one a joy. My custom plays as good as any Gibson I have played before and sound is good enough for me
Should be a decent guitar it certainly beats the $999 price tag Gibson gets for the same equipped guitar. I'll be curious about how the fret ends are when you get it as that and the cutting of the nut are usually my only complains about budget guitars but both are an easy fix.
I expect the same "budget" level of fit, finish and hardware with the Epi LPS1 P90 as my Epi LPSII; lacking but passable for the time being. When it comes time to re-string, I'll work on the fret ends along with finishing the frets. I'll have a professional install new nuts, I just don't want to eff that up on my own. The ceramic p-ups and dime-pots are more than adequate for my current level of beginner playing, nothing needs to be changed here at this time. All in all, I've fallen in love with the "Slab"; simple, direct and to the point. Slab #2 should arrive tomorrow. Regards J
I may have said this before but I really like the Epi Night Hawk you've got and wish they would reissue that guitar .
Hello everyone, I am new here, just signed up earlier this week to find out more about Epiphones. Currently owner of 3 Epi SGs ('61 Custom, '61 Special and a project '04 Vintage). Here's my Special
Welcome Fanc. I had a black '61RE P90 for a while. Killer tones ! Lets see those two others. How do you like the Vintage ?
I like the different style knob layout as I'm always reaching for the wrong volume knob on my firebird.
Wow that link took me to a headphone jack adapter at Sweetwater's website I wonder if my latest win10 update has something to do with that
