Ever since I was a teenager in the 80's, I have been a huge fan and collector of guitar books, especially guitar books with great pictures.

I love to order books on guitars I own, have ones on Fender history, Strats, Teles, Gibson history, 335's, and since I recently bought a Casino, wanted a good book on Epiphones.

Ordered this one from Amazon. It came today, but I find it really lackluster. The text and history is okay, but it hardly has any pictures in it.

If anyone has a recommendation on a good Epiphone book, I'm all ears.

I have a solution! Buy one of each. Then you won't need pictures! ;) :D

There is another book called "Epiphone: The House That Stathopoulo Built". I have read it, and do have a copy of it, but it is in my storage unit at this time. From memory, it seems to focus more on the pre-Gibson buy out day than anything more recent. Lots of emphasis on the early Epiphone Archtops and the players who made them famous, as well as Epaminodas Stathopoulo, who basically made Epiphone a major rival to Gibson.

BTW this Walter Carter was the 'father' of the early Genesis models (IIRC)

Disappointing, not up to date, and that is why Epiphone® gave these books away for free during a promotion a few years ago.
