Excellent. That should keep you sane later.yes i have. I had to adjust it 2 times but it seems to be stable and straight so far but i'm keeping my eye on it
I've done a bit of research before starting this project. I also put extra work and attention in the preperation and sanding before spraying. By the looks of it i hardly have to do any level sanding and polishing. As it looks now it is very smooth and glossy. I'm now slowly building up the thickness of the clearcoatExcellent. That should keep you sane later.
Are you trapped in another dimension that also happens to have internet?!?!Due to current restrictions on both time and space all anticipated modifications have been postponed for the foreseeable future.![]()
Nah, just dealing with a move and a new job that begins Tuesday. Besides for the moment I've run out of things to work on. Maybe later I'll go bargain hunting for something to operate on.Are you trapped in another dimension that also happens to have internet?!?!
Yesterday i spent most of the day polishing. Turns out it's real tiring on the arm doing that for about 3 hours and my arm has been feeling sore all day. But i am pleased with the results.
The BFG went from barely finished to half finished (only the front got a refinish)

Is that a local thing? Out of curiosity, I went to the Curt Mangans site and they want ≈$9 a pack. I get my EXL-110BT's for ≈$5. Or do you mean the NYXL's?I need to order more strings anyway and have pretty much decided to convert from D'Addario XLs to Curt Mangans. The XLs have gotten pricier and the Curt Mangans seem to last longer.

Really digging the black plastics. Kinda want to do that one day - sort of like the Brazilian dream modelNot done today but over the last few days.
I think my Gibson SG Tribute has a bit of an identity crisis and really wanted to be an Epiphone SG Classic Worn P90, so in this day and age who am i to keep it from being itself and feeling comfortable..
So i put in a Gibson P94T in the neck and a Lollar Novel 90 in the bridge which i both had laying around (tried both of them in my BFG before putting the Burstbucker 3 back in the bridge).
Sounds very good with the P94T having A5 magnets making it sound clear without ever getting muddy and the Lollar with A2 in the bridge to give it a little warmth so it doesn't sound shrill. Very good combo in this setup.

And on my STD 50's i replaced the cream plastics for black and a custom pickguard. I got the inspiration from a 70's tobacco burst custom i saw online

The black works really well with the dark border i think and the gold knobs with the amber/yellow middle.Really digging the black plastics. Kinda want to do that one day - sort of like the Brazilian dream model
I'll have to think about it, as I've amassed a bit of a backstock. There were points •especially during lockdown • when IIf you want to try some I'm placing an order soon. If you can tell me what you'd like I can add it to mine and I can ship yours to you. They may cost you a couple bucks more a set but at least you can try them out and see if you like them any better. Just let me know. And if anyone else would like to do the same I'll work something out too.
